Distilled Turpentine is derived from pine trees and is the most traditional solvent. Can be used to clean brushes and to create your own painting mediums. An efficient solvent, removing even dried oil, alkyd and acrylic colours from brushes and painting tools. Can also remove varnishes (including Dammar Varnish) in preparation for re-varnishing.
Do not use if it has thickened.
Tip: Mix and use for cleaning with caution. It is our strongest and most hazardous thinner; use and dispose of responsibly. Please also check if a less aggressive option might be appropriate for you.
